I have a very important question. It concerns the phenomenon known as Koro or Shook Yang, translated to English as "shrinking penis syndrome". Can this realy happen? Is it a physical condition or a mental one in which the person is suffering from a delusion. I know a man's penis can get very small if he is anxious, nervous, or scared. Is this what is happening with Koro? In extreme cases can this condition result in any permanent damage due to lack of blood flow to the tissues n the penis?

Yes! When a man experience unusal conditions, his sympathetic nervous
system takes over the body function, resulting in the deficiency of
bioelectricity in the parasymapthetic division or the deficiency of the
Kidney Yin "Chi." The penis instantly shrinks. At the moment, the blood
circulation system also redirects the flow to the brain and the organs
responsible for a quick reaction. All the hormones, oxygen and nutrients
will be burned to fuel the action energy. There is no much left for the
sex organs to use. The cells in the sex organs are starved. If the

Thank you very much for your response. I have some more questions
concerning this topic that I would also greatly appreciate a response to.
A couple of weeks ago during extremely unusual circumstances involving a bad
reaction to a large dose of prescription drugs, I believe I suffered from
what you described to me. The whole episode lasted a pretty long time.
During this experience my penis began to hurt and it shriveled up and turned
a very unhealthy looking blue color. I fear that this regrettable
experience might have caused me some damage. The underside of the head of
my penis is now discolored and dark. This area is now very unsensitive to
touch and it seems as if I have lost almost all feeling there. Also, I am
unable to get erections that are as firm, strong or large as they used to
be. A greater concern to me than all of this is whether or not my testicles
suffered any damage and the implications that this would have for hormone
production and having children

Is there anyway that I can reverse this condition that you know of? How
much damage could there have been done to my testicles and is it permanent?
